Summer Camp
During the summer, ABES continues to implement 1-on-1 services with a bonus of increased scheduled times for social interaction. Typical peers are able to join us during this time and be great models to help other peers learn to generalize their skills.
When we take trips to the park, we practice safety skills such as walking together on the sidewalk and crossing the street.
-
School Consultation & Collaboration
It is important to our ABA staff to collaborate with other professionals that your child may be seeing. Doing this provides effective communication across the team and most importantly, keeps everyone consistent on the goals that are set in place.
-
Community-Based
Our services offer the opportunity for your child to generalize the skills they learn from one-on-one sessions, and apply them in the community. With the use of ABA techniques, we provide community-based instructions to increase a child’s independence, security, and social interaction.
-
Parent/Caregiver Training
Here at ABES Inc. we aim to provide the most helpful techniques and treatment strategies your family can maintain outside of your child’s therapy session. Benefits of parent training are:
Receiving support during tough times
Familiarizing yourself with your child’s Behavior Intervention Plan
Having effective communication with your team to address your concerns and your child’s progress
-
Behavior Management
Our therapy offers age-appropriate skills to decrease inappropriate behaviors that may prevent your child from learning or interacting socially. These behaviors may include aggression, non-compliance, tantrums, and self-injury.
